I have just recently bought a 2003 Rancher and was wanting a little help from people as to which Tire/Wheel combinations they like best on their Ranchers. I was thinking of buying some of the New Holeshot ATR tires for mine sometime.
If you have a favorite Tire/Wheel combo that you like tell me also tell me what kind of riding you use your Rancer for. I like trail riding and Rock climbing.
I am in Oklahoma and was looking for other Christian riders to ride with in the surrounding States.
I have been through the 2 stroke and high performance era and am now ready to have some fun on my 4x4.
Shoot me some mail.

Was also thinking of maybe a vacation trip to the ATV Jamboree in Utah possibly next year. Anyone in???

Thanks for the space.

I have the ATR's and love them!! They are on ITP Magnum (12X7") rims which are very light, but I don't think they make them anymore. It's a whole different (better) bike with a tire change!

Well do you need a mud tire? If so try mudlite, gator and mudbug. I dont recomend anything over 25s on a rancher.

Not really an extreme mudder, to much cleanup after it's over. HA!! Who can stay out of the mud?
I think something more for the rocks and trails and some of the mud that may be encountered, seriously not looking for deep mud bogs.
Just wondering what others have on theirs and what kind of ridding they do.

Thanks

Any more Rancher owners with Mods they would share? First Mod, maybe add on. Kolpin Rack pack works great for packing some cold water in it even keeps it pretty cool. Tried it out yesterday and today in 100 deg heat. Looking for a good pack to hang off rack that I can keep a cold water hand in. Any suggestions?
Anyone have any ideas of some nicer wheels to replace the stock wheels?
Just got back from the sandunes, had a wonderful time. Wish I had three more 4X4's so we wouldn't have to double up.
Four wheel drive, we may not get there fast, but we get there. Fun Fun Fun

Hey,
I had ITP 589's on my rancher , 25x10 in the front and 25x12 in the rear on douglas .190 alum rims. The bike didn't seem to have enough power to turn them. I would go with the 10's in the rear too. make sure you buy light tires. The 8's up front wear out way too fast.
The first mod that I did was a K&N filter with the outerwear. It hopped it up quite a bit. A bit tricky to install, alot of springs and such in the carb. I also had a choke problem with it. I rode in mostly mud, and the choke would get all gummed up with mud where it goes into the carb. Make sure you keep it clean. It would run rough at idle and the cable started getting harder and harder to pull.
Take it easy.

P.S.
I put a jet kit in it too. Whatever the manufacturer reccomended and it worked great at sea level.
