My dealers a crook

When I bought our Rancher, I went across the state line to Kansas and didnt pay sales tax there, but when I went back to my home county and went to register it so I could get the title, I had to pay state sales tax in MO.
I guess if I didnt want to pay that sales tax I could have not registered it and not worried about the title, but would have trouble when I go to sell it and I didnt have the title. Also if it was stolen and didnt have the title it would be that much harder to get it back.
So if you buy a used one, make sure you get one that has a good Title, as I think there are some people who avoid paying sales tax, and dont have clear title to the ATV.

Wyowheeler, Sorry it has taken me so long to get back on here. Yes, you can buy an ATV out of state and will not have to pay sales tax unless you try to register the bike, like to get a license plate for it. If you just buy it and ride it...no tax. But, dont get caught somehow, cause then they will make you pay it. Also, I went to the Honda dealer the following day down in Ft. Collins like I had talked about in the previous thread.......and they would NOT deal for crap. They came off the MSRP on a Rubicon 100.00. That was it. The guy on the phone told me some misinformation. So I went across the interstate to the Kawasaki, Polaris dealer and got me a NEW 2002 Prairie 650 in Camo for 6,000. This is 1,200.00 off of MSRP when new. I realize this bike is two years old, but is had zero miles on it and no hours. It wasn't a steal but a good price. The used retail on a 02 Prairie now is right at 5,700.00 dollars in camo. Have you made the trip down to Colorado yet? If so, how were you treated? Good Luck

Albee, I was in the Salt lake area last weekend and did some shopping at the dealers. I found some great dealers. O3 Rancher ES 4x4 $4200. 03 Rincon $6,400. Nice people too. Sorry you had to buy something besides a Honda. That just goes to show you that WYOMING DEALERS SUCK.
