Default Honda Carb

I have a 88 honda and its been sitting for about 2 yrs. And i yanked the carb off and cleaned and put it back on and it runs better, but not good enough. It will idle sort of ok but when you give it about half throttle it will stick. So i thought its the cable, but its not. And when you go to change gear its idleing to high. So adjusted the idle but then it dies. so i put it back and it does the same. It take to long to return to idle. Please help!!

I am thining of float level. Or possible gunk stuck in somewhere. I know the best remedy for stock 250r carbs is to remove from bike and deposit in a trash can.

dont know why you say that, my carb has never gaven me any problems.

you're right about the slide only going in one way, but sometimes the people get the spring on wrong, it's hard to explain but it causes for just about WOT idle.
