Default Hot legs on a Foreman 450ES

I just purchased a new honda foreman 450 es and would like to know if any one else has experienced your legs getting very hot while riding for approx 15 to 20 minutes ?
I have had air cooled wheelers in the past and have never had this problem.
I am riding with normal blue jeans and work boots.
the cooling fan is coming on and going off and all appears to operate properly.
Is this a normal condition? Thanks.

I've also purchased a 450 recently and also noticed the heat that seems to be coming from the exhaust on the left side. My Recon was never so hot although my Warrior did throw more heat than the Recon. (The 450 tops them all.) I guess that's why it has a fan and it does seem to come on alot.

How about a solution ALL!
I had an '02 Foreman and now have an '03 Rincon.
What I did was purchase Pipe Heat wrap from Hi-Lifter and removed the heatshield and wrapped the pipe with the Wrap. I then replaced the Heat shield and no more heat problem!

yesterday I took the foreman back to the dealer and they checked it out and at 360 deg. temp on the fan sensor.
the cooling fan still had not turned on and they feel that the fan sensor is defective and are going to replace it and recheck it.
I will let you now the out come.
Thanks for all the tips on this problem.

Thanks for all the help:
after the dealer had the foreman for 4 days they determined that it was the same as another new one that they had in stock and the heat was a normal characteristic of this machine.
