First problem with my Rancher......Help!
I had my first choke cable freeze-up. It was only about -8c, and I hadn't started it for two weeks. My garage isn't heated, so it stays pretty cool in there. For this particular time, I stuck an interior car warmer close to the carb, dripped a bit of gasline antifreeze under the boot below the **** and it moved freely after 5 or so minutes. I was wondering what you folks do in this scenario? Is there anything I can do to prevent it, and where exactly in the cable does the freeze-up usually occur? Any help would be appreciated!!

common problem on rancher, wifes quad had this problem first cold snap. i believe that you did the right thing to free it up. now you should spray some lube in there while it is warm to displace any moisture that remains and then replace the boot. I haven't had any problems since i did this.
