LMAO, it probably does handle better than a yfz since the honda is to slow to get in trouble. If you built a quad with cheap parts (honda) all you have is a cheap quad. Honda had time to do it right and failed. Of course the bean counters will be happy. More profit per quad from the honda diehards

There seems to be a lot of bashing of the new 450R by Yamaha fans going around. Are they becoming scared or something? I can understand if they say that they think the YFZ will have a slight edge over the TRX, that's completely understandable, but to the ones that say the TRX will "suck"(like our good friend 14 mins)................that's a near impossibility with all the work Honda has put into it and their legendary racing history. Besides, Tim Farr didn't have to accept a deal with Honda for this quad, but he did and that has to say something about it. There's no denying Big Red is back in a big way!

I don't read much into Magazines anymore when it somes to comparisons, I do love them the mag's very handy while dong the number two but face it Yamaha gives them the dollars there on the second and or last page of them and they always get the best review while they will nic pic the rest to peice's.
14mins- about the 708cc Predator someone will have one, I didn't mean it as Polaris to be building it.
Anyone who insults and bash's there mouth as you do all the time about anything expect a Yamaha should be booted off you really do take the fun out of it all and sound like a donkeys azz.

Red Goblin- So you think Honda did a bang up job with the new 450? The specs alone compared to the Yamaha are inferior. Since no forum member is running around on one all we have is the specs honda gave. So what do we know? It is to go up against the yamaha 450. I looked at the specs a few weeks ago and recall that
Honda uses a crappy carb and the yamaha uses a FCR
Honda weighs the same as the yamaha 450 but does not have the extras
Honda used inferior front shocks compared to the yamaha
Honda has less travel that the yamaha
Honda used a out dated rear linkage compared to the yamaha
Hondas larger gas tank will be a detriment to the mxers compared to the yamaha. If you fill the honda up it will be 12 pounds more top heavy than the yamaha or it you only fill it half full the weight will be shifting back and forth.
I did see where the honda was wider than the yamaha so it does get points there. It should be 1500 dollars cheaper than the yamaha since the owner will have to immediatly upgrade some stuff. The honda will produce less power even though it has a larger motor than the yamaha. Yamaha built there 450 to the old rules. I wonder if that will be a 2nd year change. So yes i am dissapointed that Honda did this poor when they COULD HAVE produced a killer quad bar none. All the other manufactures had already showed there products. I would have made changes before bringing the honda in and made it better in all areas.
By the way i own a 2002 Honda 250ex for the kiddo and i bought my wife a Kawaski bayou to go along with my 2 raptors. So the brand loyal thing won't work with me. I could care less most of the time except i would not own a cannon or a polaris. Polaris is not even in the same leauge as yamaha, honda, suzuki and kawaski with it comes to build and relibilty The only thing polaris does is have a better warranty program.
