i posted topic yesterday about that ebay scam i ended, where did it go? was it deleted? if so, why???

 

Just a W.A.G. but your post was encouraging others to make false bids on ebay so in essence you were fighting a big crime witha little one. While I share your discust for the slime that are trying to rip people off with their fake ATV ads, making false bids on ebay will not stop them. Encouraging this will eventually lead to someone falsely bidding on a 'real' quad sale.

I think posting suspisions of fake sales on this and other forums is a great idea, as is a bunch of us notifying ebay, ATVTraderonline etc. Playing any other games with these guys serves no purpose. It may make us feel better to pretend to be interested in buying their ATV when we actually know what's going on but frankly, these guys don't give a crap. They have a method, it works for them. Anything outside the narrow band of getting a positive response from someone ready to buy a cheap ATV will just be dropped or answered with a canned email response. It's no loss to them, they're selling something that does not exist. They may be slimeballs but they're smart slimeballs. Nothing short of someone with the ability to track through their mulitple ISP's will be able to touch them.
