Need help w/ recoil starter
#1
ok guys, i went to remove the recoil starter on my quad, which is actually a suzuki, but anyway. well it has this reoccuring problem of not working, so last weekend i was playing with the recoil spring and it flew out. Now, i cannot get this thing back in for the life of me. neither can my father, and im not about to go to the local shop and pay 60 an hour to fix the starter on a free quad. if anyone ahs any tips on this, i d appreciate them. Thanks so much, sorry all you honda owners, but this section has the most traffic, so i thought id make use of it. thanks again, any input is welcome.

Been there, done that--it ain't easy, takes lots of determination. Seems like I had to break out the small Vise-Grips, perhaps a C-clamp or two; I don't know what-all. Words fail me, describing the process, other than saying: it's like winding a clock spring. There! That was lots of help, right? Good luck!

P.S. When you get it back together, don't play with the spring any more, o.k.?
