An Average guy on the yamaha?????????
i garentee you those guys arent average, they are better than anybody on this board. why doesnt yamaha find somebody that can win them some races like honda did

 

because all the good riders are on honda and suzuki like doug gust it dosent matter wat the pros use they are allways on top like tim farr i eman i hope the 450r comes out on top but i dont see that happing with this quad all though i realy like the 450r and id say it is better on trails and mabey gncc the yfz is gonna win in speed and as much as i hate to say it handling aswell

 

How do you know? Have you ridden either 1 side by side?

I'm a long time honda fan but I have to say Yamaha out did Honda on this one.

I usually don't believe a thing Dirtwheels says but this time they got it right. I don't know how they will fair modded out but stock for stock the Yami, looks to me, to be a better machine.

As for this season of GNCC, all I saw winning was old 250Rs and YZFs, maybe I missed something.

 

my god you guys whine like women. Is it really that hard to believe that yamaha could make a quad that will beat a honda? And then you guys talk about mx racing and how Farr is beating everyone on his honda, but maybe you dont realize that its his ability that lets him beat all of those other guys out on the track. Think about this one, do you think that Carmichael still wouldnt win if he rode a yamaha, suzuki, or kawi? What really makes me laugh is that almost 99% of you guys saying that the honda is better than the yamaha has never riden the new 450r or yfz, so how would you know.

 

The 450r was just released thats why you only saw 250r's and yfz's.

btw I own one and its sweet. Its alot nicer than my old 400ex.

 

Last month, Yamaha guys were complaining that Honda paid DW off. This month, Honda guys are complaining that Yamaha paid DW off. I bet DW wishes you were both right!

The mags are famous for this. They hype the bike, then when they come to a shootout, they mellow out.

 

The difference is that the Pro's race on highly modified Quads, and the Dirt Wheels article was comparing quads that you and I could own. It's not rocket sceince.
