I have heard from a few places on the internet that in some countries othen than the US, the recon comes with a speedometer. Idon't doubt it either because it has a place on the dash for one, and on the wiring diagram it says "Speed Sensor" somewhere near the reverse light. If anyone knows a way to buy one of these please tell me. I have looked at some Honda Websites, but can't read japanise. They do have some cool dirtbikes though in austrailia (cr125 dual sport bike). I it's not possible I will have to rig up a bike speedometer. Has anyone every tried a bike speedometer on a recon, and if so, how did you do it. Did it work well?

Service Honda @ 219-932-3588 has the Recon speedometer/hr meter for about $240.

that is a lot of money for a speedometer. That cost more than my GPS. One of the functions on the GPS is using it as a speedometer.
