Second trip this weekend with the GPS mounted. Didn't shut off as much this time. But it wasn't as rough either. I was on the adapter this time. Only time it shut off was flying up a trail that was bumpy and down some forest rd. The bad road sections were washboards. And at 30+ the GPS just gave out.

The cheapo Garmin plastic mount held up. Even took a roll. Though I think I was under the quad when it was upside down. DOH! I think.
