If the pinging is only when you gas it then I would say it is a timming issue. You need to retard the spark. To do so you'll have to refer to the repair manuel. You can try a higher octane gas. If the timing is not too far out that should do it. If the motor has been Modified it is likely that the timing is set high by design and you'll need to run high octane all the time. Do not ride the bike if it is pinging alot, the detination can cause hot spots on the pistons and put a hole in it. This happens on cars as well.

I retimed it to, the big bore specifications. and it still does the same thing. Starting to make me mad! I am making a trip tothe local dealership 1st of May. See if they can help any. Later on Ride Hard
