Alright guys, engine work is questionable now

Alright guys, engine work is questionable now
I don't really wanna bore my 400ex. Maybe shave the head, put a lighter and higher compression piston in. What do you guys think? any suggestions, brands, or anyone that can shave the head in Minnesota? I would hate to not have it done locally(i.e. out of state) Any advice would be awesome. Can I run a lighter/higher compression piston with out shaving the head???
