Default Mudrunners for Rubi.....Why so Pricey!?

What's the deal on the money figures for the Goodyear Mudrunners?? I'm sold on their performance and durability, but am shocked by the price tag! Is it just because they carry that Goodyear name or what? Are there any cheaper AMERICAN made tires that perform close to the same. I'm installing a 424 on my Rubi and believe me, I'll be using my new powersliding abilities to the max for awhile. I want a great mudder that rides and slides good on the hardpack, but won't wear out quickly.

Did you check out rockymountainatv.com for their prices? They're usually the cheapest. I think the Goodyears are also 'run-flats", so that's why they're more pricey than similar tires......

First of all, let me say that I have 26" Mudrunners on my Rubi, and couldn't be happier with them. They are an awesome (and very under-rated) tire. Very smooth on hardpack, and just as aggressive as 589's in mud. They do come in a runflat version, as well as a standard version. The runflats are pretty pricey. The best price I've found on them was at Treadepot.com. That's where I bought mine. Excellent service and they shipped pretty fast. Check them out. I know you're gonna be real happy with the Mudrunners.
