With FMF do I need a new head pipe?

The PC IV-2 does not come with a spark arrester. If you get the PC IV-2 SA like I did, you'll get the spark arrester.
I do not know if you need a new headpipe for sure. The silencer should fit on the stock 300EX header. I only have the silencer on my 400EX right now.
You can get a new header it you would like too. FMF offers the Hi-Flo headpipe for the 300EX. If you do this, you'll want to rejet the carb.
The Power Core IV-2 is a lot louder than the Mega Max II. The Mega Max II on the 300EX has a really mellow, deep sound. Plus, the Mega Max is tunable to how much power and sound you want. There's only one bad thing. If you change the discs and don't rejet each time you do it, you'll run into some problems with it running right. At least I did. Good luck.

 

I am the on wcy2k400ex was talkin about. I love my PC IV-2 SA. It is great. It sounds awesome, and it gave me a quicker revving mill, and gave me lots of low end power.

 

You might like supertrap but i think they are work a dam, a friend of mine had a polaris 500 scrambler 4x4, he put a K&N powerkit in it and then added the supertrap, all supertrap is, is a noise maker, if anything it made it run worse.
His brother also had a polaris 500 scrambler, he put on hpd pipe and it was a ton beter. HPD's head pipe was larger than supertraps by a noticable difference, it sounds better
