well i read somewhere that the yfz does 15.5 s in 1/4 mile so the trx should be around that im guessing high 15's. but on pavement a good start on a quad will be much harder to get than on a car because the car isnt wheelie prone. so i have my money on the civic.

LMAO!! So true...

Just the fact that a car is even being compared to a four wheeler in a dragrace is bad enough. If it's close at all, the car is EXTREMELY slow. My Dad's F150 tows his 69 Mustang to the track and it will humiliate that Civic on a dragstrip or roadcourse, nevermind the fact that it's a Lightning.

i'd be willing to bet money that the 450r will waste the civic off the line, if the rider is used to riding it on pavement. i've gotten pretty good at doin fast starts on my 450r (messin around in my street) if u keep ur weight forward and can keep the front end from comin up, then u'll be fine. if u have the front end on the ground while in first, make sure ur a lil easy on the gas, otherwise it'll pop up when u shift to second. i've hit almost 30 mph in first gear on my 450 (riding next to a truck).

in the 1/8 mile it would be all 450. for the rest of it, it would be up to driver skill

The current generation of civics will do the 1/4 in the low 16's w/ a manual trans...the auto will do it in the low to mid 17s....this is for the ex model.

Anyhow, I hope the quad would win. I think it would be quite embarrasing if it didn't...

Has anyone checked the top speed of a civic in the quarter mile?
I would think the 450r would beat it in an 1/8 mile controling the front end but I dont have experience with either one.

I just looked them up and it seems they run 85-88 mph in the 1/4 mile.
