Blew the R up today
HA2, the 310 niks jug with 225lbs runs VERY respectable, atleast 3-4 bikes off the line from his drag ported 250, Its a very reliable motor but last trip he had Major motor problems, with that compression he runs 94 with 5 ounces of 108 octane boost and does perfect. My brother runs a milled head and cr gasket and gets 205lbs compression, Running straight 94 octane his bike is PERFECT.. no pinging. I run my bike on 94 with 175lbs to be safe and clean.
But onto the problems my neighbor had, he is a strict drag racer and launches his bike with 10 paddle ultra lights after holding the bike WOT for about 4 seconds (launches in 2nd) and he has been doing this for 2-3 seasons, well, he was running his 250 at sandlake and ripped the stems out of his tubes when his rims spinned, and also snapped a flywheel (broke ALL welds). Then this week at winchester he ended up losing his main bearings in his case and his crank/rod bearings and his piston, but the jug looked fine (head needed to be cleaned up)
