in a recent news broadcast in se missouri it was reported that at differant locations in atv riding areas that choke wires were found in an effort to decapitate atvers. the wires were shown, then the local represenative for the serria club (short ugly gal in a t-shirt)explained that it was the atvers who strung up the wire, more than likely to give them a bad name. they did not interview any atvers and i guess the message was that we are so out to make the serria club look bad that we would be willing to sacrifice (decapitate) a few fellow riders. how is that for fair news reporting...this has got to stop, an real atv organization needs to be started that lobbies and fights for recognition, respect, protects riding areas and fights for new ones. getting the major manufacturers to put money behind it, they are making a killing selling them, why can't they help us ride them. it should educate about respect for property and how to get along with landowners. members could help police those few who screw it up for the rest of us.
sorry for the rant, but if someone dosen't do something, the only place you can ride is going to be your front yard and you will have a ugly girl in a t-shirt giving you dirty looks.

It's simple......keep the democrats out of office! Get involved politically.....don't expect or depend on someone to do it for you. If you "don't have the time", send money to those groups that have the lobbying efforts going on. Oh yeah, don't forget to vote......and don't be shy about getting you friends to understand the issues and getting them to vote.

PJ is right. It is the liberals who maintain on preserving the environment from humans. They don't want us to see nature. They just want it there, not for our enjoyment, but for nature. Its the typical democrats. Take away from those who can use it to their benefit and enjoyment, and give it to others. Its a form of socialism, like they do with their high taxes. Take from the wealthy who have earned their money so you can replace dirty needles with clean needles and distribute them to drug users. You may think I'm exxagerating but check it out. Look at the laws in Washington DC and Baltimore. Its simple, vote for Republicans to restore fairness in the government and allow individuals to be responsible for themselves.

Last summer I was riding the Tin Cup Spring trail in Manistee National Forest here in the lower peninsula of Michigan. I ran through some string that someone had stretched across the trail. By the time I realized what was happening and came to a stop, I had a big wad of string all tangled and wound up in my frame and rear axle. Fortunately it was a string and not something stronger like a cable or wire. Anyways, it really freaked me out- just to know that some wacko is out there doing this stuff in my own back yard. Now when I ride the trails, it's always in the back of my mind that some environmental extreemist may have laid a booby trap for me.

Glad someone wasn't killed.

It is going to take the manufacturers stepping in to help save our sport. They could start by buying off some politicians like the oil companies & others have done in the past.

The bad thing they won't do it until there sales start heading down the tubes. It could be to late by then. The snowmobile manufacturers have already made this attempt.

You never know what the eco-maniancs will do next.

A freind of mine was riding at dusk and he just happened to slow down for some reason and bam, taken right off his Prairie, someone had taken vcr tape and wound it around two trees chest level. If he had not slowed down he would be dead. I guess saving a trail from evil atvers is worth murdering someone. Yeah vote for Bush, seriously.

I think voting Bush is our best and quickest chance to getting something done.
P.J. & Alibaba you guys are right on the money. You hit the nail on the head. You know, why can't everybody else see these things?

Yes, Vote Bush. I have to admit, he doesn't really seem that great, but look at Al Gore!! What a joke! His running mate looks and sounds like Homer Simpsons boss. What was his name...lol
