if you have no experince that would not be the greatest quad to start on. you might want to get an old piece of junk and get the hang of riding and get comfotable doing it. if you also crash it you won't feel bad because you only recked an old piece of junk instead of a new atv. but i would suggest to ride a smaller older quad and get used to driving and then get a 400ex later after some experince

At your size and weight, you have the advantage of being able to ride a smallish machine. Get a Blaster, and ride the tires off it!

hmm i would suggest a 250ex or 300ex or even a warrior my warrior is my first sport quad.... i'm kinda glad i started out on it i can ride pretty good now, before i had a 4x4 quad and it was a big change, i've had it almost a yr and i'm ready to move on now i think i'm gonna get a 400ex, also how old r u?? i'm 17

unless money is a issue get something bigger. you always want more power and you can always adjust the throtle down till you get used to the power, but you will get used to the power and the quad quickly once you get the basics down.the 400ex is a good quad but like i said you will always want more power
i never wrecked or got into trouble because i had to much power its always the other way around where i needed more power and came up short.but what ever quad you choose you will have fun with it

yamaha yfz 450 mx quad electric start

honda trx 450r mx-trail quad kick start i like the idea of kick start

polaris 500 2005 trail-mx quad has reverse have to wait till sept

bomb 650 dune-trail quad

yamaha raptor 660 trail quad has reverse

kaw 700 this has auto transmisson

in random order these are some quads i would check out

I think a Bombardier DS 650 would be best for you.
