Rancher 4x4 ES Shifting Problem
#22
Temp I usually ride Crow Hill, Springfield area. My uncle has a camp on the Grand John and we usually go up there alot in hunting season and winter. Great spot for rideing you can go just about anywhere from there. If your ever in the area its the 5th camp up the hill from the Nashwaak side Brewers camp. Your welcome to stop in anytime and visit. Have'nt been driving much at all this summer because of work. Hope to see you around sometime!

Tempest, I agree my initial post regarding my rancher tranny failure was laced with strong language based on emotion due to having a recent problem.
What i did call "MY" machine was a piece of crap. Also I said my dealer said it was not the first machine he has seen with the occurrence. he did not say it was a frequent problem.
I do not believe that I was at all misleading as my tranny displayed a symptom that many others say they have experienced, whining. i felt, as I do now, it fair to warn others of potential problems.
One thing more. I cannot be accused of calling someone a liar. You can.

Whoa max, chill out. I did not call you a liar. You are making this sound worse with each post. You first stated "...you as much as called me a liar...". Now you are saying "I cannot be accused of calling someone a liar. You can." Is your next post going to accuse me of asking for a fist fight?
For historical accuracy I did ask which dealer was having all the problems since your address shows Chipman and the dealers closest to there have not had the problem that you spoke of. I was then, as I am now, skeptical that this is a re-occuring problem. Before you blow a gasket I do believe that you had the problem. But again, I do not think that your Rancher's tranny problem is anymore of a model problem than the Expedition axle problems being discussed in the Polaris forum. I think that they are isolated incidents and that is all.
You are right ... you didn't call the Rancher a piece of s***. As you said you called it a piece of crap. Is there a difference?
Now take a couple of deep breaths and maybe a valium before you respond.

My rancher whisteles alittle when i first put it into 5th, its something in the front diff or the boots i think. My dealer said it was fine, it happens on all ranchers.
As for the shifting, it was just because your sensor got dirty or something.. I have heard of it before, and allways in a mud pit.
bad seal i guess...

Tempest, we finally seem to be on the same wave length. Slow down just a little and you may realize this as you re-read your last post. May I suggest it seems to be you who needs a deep breath?
I can't help wondering what now makes you believe I had a trans problem. Are you always so wishy washy?
No matter. I think the best solution is to forget the whole business and get down to doing what persuades us to participate in this forum in the first place, enjoying riding our quads!
Therefore I offer the olive branch in friendship rather than engaging in any more childishness.
