300EX- Anyone have a twist throttle??
I just put on a twist throttle on my 99 300ex. It was made by Motion Pro and cost around $35. To put it on i had to remove the front plastic, remove the gas tank, pull the carb and open up the side in order to feed the new cable in. It was a fairly easy process once i figured out what had to be done. I love it and would recommend it to anyone, howeveer; it is all preference. I found that it takes a little getting used to, as far as accidentally gassing it when you land off of jumps. I also accidentally let off the throttle when i was in the air yesterday between a big double and the nose headed straight for the ground. Overall its a good mod, and fairly inexpensive. Good luck

I have done many .... secret is to remove all of the paint from the handlebar where the twist throttle will go. Just use some sand paper and remove. You will never have a problem with the plastic tube sticking to the bar.
Also make sure you get ATV grips to cover the tube. Do not get MX grips as they have a flange at the end of the grip that usually gets hung up on the motion pro part causing the throttle to stick.
