Hi,

I was wanting to get me a small winch like the 1500 and i was wondering if anyone has this model or size and if it will fit on a 2000 Rancher. I think it is a T1500 or something like that. I dont want to invest a lot of money in it just because i am just wanting to see how usefull it can be.

I got a good deal on a superwinch T1500 on yahoo auctions. I got a mounting kit from Cabelas and am very happy with it. Everything fits nicely. I mounted the switch on the handlebars. I have a 2000 rancher es 4wd. I wonder if on a standard shift model, you could get an es left hand swich assembly with the shift buttons and use them for your winch control. Any one try this ?

 

I've got one on my 00' rancher es. I got it for a good price and the way I figure it a 1500lb winch should be able to do anything you want to a 500lb quad. The only thing I would puchase for the winch is a 50ft cable and a roller fairlead.
