HI i was curious to what the topspeed of a 400ex might be?

ive noticed it varies from from mid to high 60's but mine will go 73 and it is still stock so your looking at 65-75 if your lucky

 

Most people say mid 60s. I never had a way to check with mine but I would guess upper 60s on asphalt, maybe?

 

i would have to say 65 like everyone else give or take a few...

 

my buddy cant get his over 68 mph,thats with a full pipe,aftermarket airbox,K&N filter and jets..

 

At least 65, depending on how far you push each gear.

 

I have a 2002 400ex with 16 tooth front sprocket, full DG Krome exhaust, dyno jet kit and the Hi rev box, and the best mine does is 72 mph. That is several runs on pavement running with 3 different stock vehicles. It obtained the same speed each time with each different vehicle. I am pretty sure its accurate. The real helper in top speed is the 16 tooth front sprocket. The other mods help make up for what I lost in acceleration by going to a larger front sprocket. Stock it was 66 mph.
