They really slapped the face of Honda
When you're on top, everyone tries to knock you down.
If I'm going into the ATV business, I would offer whatever Honda doesn't and sell it like it was a must have feature. Salesmen, newbies, and journalists (particularly when that manufacturer spends heavy advertising in their mag) usually fall for the marketing hype, many don't.
It is impossible for manufacturers like Polaris (for example) to offer 40 years of reliability, so they offer gizmos that Honda doesn't. Big deal to some, not to me. I personally will not buy another Polaris for some time. Maybe with the infusion of millions of our tax payer dollars paying $15000 a unit from Polaris will give them the money they need to work out all the bugs in their "market leading" technology, I might buy one in the future. However, I'm not going into the Polaris board and listing all my gripes...........
You want the latest in marketing flash, buy something else - don't post an opinion article like this on a Honda forum and not expect people to disagree. You want people to agree post it on another mfg's forum, you'll have a lot of friends. Don't be sore at Honda because you can't buy one that has everything under the sun so you can brag about have every technological advance to ATVs + sound engineering and yours is better than everyone else’s.

IM sorry, But I'll tell you what Honda Owners. If your Happy with what you ride, and Happy with your machine, then Ride it and be happy, you dont have to answer to not a dang soul other than yourself at the end of the day.
I ride an 87 Cr 500, a 96 Kx 500, a 99 KTM 300 EXC, an 01 300 EXC, an 02 400 EXC an 02 200 EXC, and an 03 525 EXC.
I also Have a Honda FOurtrax 70, an ATC 125 m, and a Polaris Sportsman
I have learned, or tried to, to be happy with MY decision. Being a Polaris Owner, It's the norm to hear all about the crap with belts, reliability, weight, etc.. I Got tired of it at First, and then learned to disregard it.
Amazingly, I also hear it from alot of the Jap Bike riders about KTM. But there will always be one in my stable, because they have what I want in a bike.
I think Honda Utes have some of the good and not so good features in their machines. I also think that, Polaris, Suzuki, kawi, Yamaha, AC and Bomb also have the good and Not soo good in their quads.
I think a Better title to this thread would have been " Honda riders, What do you think?" And Actually DIscussed whether the lack of these features are important to you, whether it may lead you to purchase a different make in the future, Or if your just happy with what you Have. It would have lent itself to some good discussion without the pissing match it turned into. Afterall, My thoughts should have absolutely no bearing whatsoever as to whether someone else buys or doesnt buy a honda ATV.
