recon 250 help
#1
have a 1999 honda recon 250 all stock, its been to hell and back and can still go through anything, but i wanna fix it up alittle and make it look and run better, the plastics shifted and bent up, anyway i can fix that? and my gears are stripped or slipping or something, how do i fix that? and the electric ignition wont work, when you hit the start button the cable just clicks by the battery but i dont think the battery is dead because the lights and stuff work when the fourwheelers off, but i need to fix that because i have to pull start it with the rope everytime and its gettin worn out and breaks the string and annoying, so please help? and everytime i go in water it seems like my gears start to strip afterwards, and anything to make it look better? and can i paint my racks? and what tires because mine are going bald and i need something that will do good in mud, water, snow etc- would mudsharks work good or not? So i need to know about my gears and how to fix the electric start. Thanks for reading, and please reply, i need help
Thanks

Id say keep saving for that 400, you can unbolt the racks, paint them with car undercoating and they will be very scratch resistant. As far as the plastics go just give them a good wash, some people say that wd-40 can bring back the shine on your quad, if not you can buy Plastic Renew, its a sanding process on the scratches, then apply a goo. If your buying tires you can paint your stock rims rim paint post , or I hear you can put on some yamaha wolverine rims. As far as tires go id check out the stock HP's , mudlights or Dirt Devils, they are relativly cheap.
Good luck, post some pics.
