yes.......... I did call my dealer about the stalling and he said quote " you need to bring it in for the 100 mile check up . about $150 for the check." I said "if its stalling out is that not a warranty issue? I had it since Feb. Is there really a need for a 100 mile check up or is that just a money maker?

Sounds like a money maker to me. If you still have time, and apparantly you do, on your warranty, I would put some more miles on it and see what happens. Looks like all of us have had the same problems on our AT models and they straighten out after they break in. I would idle it up a little and give it some more time. What you got to loose, you may even save that 150 bucks!

nike,
Sounds like you might be running a little too lean. You may need to re-jet. I'm certainly not an expert on this subject, but the theory is if your mixture of air and gas is lean, your carb is getting too much air for the amount of gas that's there. This would cause your engine to run hot.

My Rancher now has about 250 miles and about 23 hours on it and it wouldn't start for nothing when I first got it. This is my first Four wheeler and the last AtV I had was a three wheeler (honda) in 1986, so I didn't know about the idle adjustmen (duh!) . After I got that right it works fine. Also, don't pay them to service your vehiicle. I spent $30 and did it myself. Plus I still have spray oil for the air filter left. I also used all honda lubricants and parts, and it'll be fine. They said they would adjust valves but I doubt it. I also bought the extended warranty so I figure if it ever needs a valve job I have 4 years to bring it it.
