As long as that is true, I'd be willing to bet Honda will never be as fast and powerful as Yamaha either.

you mean the recall on the utility quads. The Hondas are already faster than some Yamahas. TRX 300ex better than Raptor 350 as is a 400ex. The Yfz about equal power with the 450R, not as smooth power. Raptor, Honda has NO answer so chuck it up for Yamaha. What about that awesome 250cc race Quad from Yamaha? Oh yeah there wasn't one, I almost forgot. That was the TRX 250R Lets not even get to the Yamaha Tri-z and all the championships they one......dang that was the ATC 250R. On 2 wheels Honda has dominated Yamaha again with more power and better handling. Lets just stay away from the above post! LMFAO

Me personaly like honda and yamaha. But since Yamaha beat Honda to the punch with yfz they earned alot of customers.
When I bought mine,I read alot of reviews in mags and forums and since yfz has been around a little longer there was more info.
So when you take e-start and other bonuses like,it pushed me in that direction.
Whatever one you buy your getting one hell of a machine.
Reliability? Both are same. When you put aftermarket parts on,reliability goes out window.
Resell? Also the same. These are the hottest atv for sale.

yep i agree on that too... and yes the recall no biggie and stuff just a point that i wanted to make and the 450r is probably just as good... i think either way you'll be setup fine...

actually white shows scratches and stress marks A LOT less. it may look dirtyer at times cuz its white but its really not bad at all. black is the color that is hard to keep clean! whether you get a yfz or 450R they will both be awesome! yfz 2 stroke like power, fast revving, lower center of gravity, smaller, electric start, MX ready, etc.... 450R- smooth power, kick start, easier to wheely, more comfortable, etc.... just choose whats best for you and dont listen to the biased ppl. they both have their advantages. no one is really better than the other by any means or any large amount. it that simple. well maybe not quite that simple but in a nut shell. i personally like the yfz and am partial to yamaha.

Well, my brother and I both have LT250R's, and as of his recent purchase Friday, we both have YFZ's also. Both LT's are very easy to kick(easier than a 450R) and reliably start by the third kick cold, first kick warm. Guess what, the Yammies start with the flick of a thumb-everytime! I could be happy with either, but I also think life is to short to ride ugly quads. If price is close, I would pick the YFZ everytime.

OK, maybe ugly is to strong a word, but the 450R sure is homely. The headlights remind me of the way the eyes were styled on an 80's computer game I had for the ole Commodore 64. (You youngsters have no idea what i'm talking about, right?) I guess you could always put a new hood on it and eliminate the lights, but then you just have a 250R lookin thing that I have been seeing around for 20 years.
