2004 Rancher ES CODES BLINKING GEAR INDICATOR
#22
I am a newbie to hondas I have a 2008 honda rancher 420 es 4x4 and two days ago the battery died I charged the battery and it hasn't shifted right since I can manually shift with the tool and when i press the buttons it sounds like the motor tries to move but it wont and sometimes i can get it to shift fine so im not sure but I would like to fix this it is not shifting now so i dont know what to do

May be worth checking that the alternator is working as the battery went flat, and circa 14v powers the ES system better than circa 12v, which is what it will get from battery alone. The 420 is a totally different bike to the ones referred to in this post, so you would have been better starting a new one. Does the gear indicator blink a fault code? It will if you hand change anyway, but it is the code that comes on with the fault that is important.

"should I make a new post about it"
I see you have done, but still not put anything about the fault code. What is it? They are a pig to read on the 420 as the codes are often complex double numbers, about time Honda started using real fault numbers displayed on the dash, instead of Morse.
