Hill climbing (not hillshooting)
The 400ex took its first hard flip today. at the top of a 80ft dirt hill she did a wheel stand and it was all downhill from there. i was told it flipped a total of 7 times (twice in the air over me thank god) and hit 3 trees on the way down. it landed on all fours and fired right up after i made a recovery from my tumble all the way down. my knee hurts like a mother beeper and the 400 made it out with just a few new scratches. what can i say....its a honda!

The best hillclimbing is in the gravel pits. We have a river valley near our place with some pretty steep hills, but nothing is better then the gravel pits. My 250ex doesn't have the power of the bigger ones, but I can still climb pretty high. I have to agree with everyone else that hillclimbing is the funnest thing to do on a quad.

MotoX26, Where are you from in Ohio? You must have pretty much the same terrain we have here in So Indiana and No Kentucky. Have you ever tried "Big Rock" in Maysville, Ky? If not, and you like a hillclimbing challenge, try that place out. They have some very long, steep hills there, especially the "Widowmaker".

coyoteman, I live in Waynesville, it is about 30 minutes south of Dayton. We usually ride at Haspin Acres and Wayne National Forest besides here locally. Have you ever been there?
I have never been to Big Rock but have heard of it and the Widowmaker. I'll probably go there sometime.

I haven't been to either of those places and I need my butt kicked for not trying Haspen yet cause I only live an hour or so from there. There is a lot of good riding locally though, its all private owned land around here, so no crowds. It's also hard to get away when your married with children......When I can get away, it's usually somewhere like Silver Lake Sand Dunes. That sand will spoil you!
