MAn break it in exactly how you are going to ride it everyday. It's that simple.

if you ride hard break it in hard. If you cruise in and barely hit the throttle then break it in that way.

In other words if you are planning to drag and rebuild often like race cars, give it all it will take. I've read all the articles on breaking in the engine and taken compression readings and all. None of them look at the various bearings or have done any long term hours/mileage studies.

thats a good point i never thought of that

the mec at the dealers said the same thing ixrazorxi said ride it the way you will always ride it and if thats hard then ride it hard and if it cruising then do it that way.
and like i said he rides like he stole it.
and as for removeing the spakr arrestor my friend did that with his 600 grizz and it now runs like a bag of crap.
and he now has to put a new one in because he threw the other one away befor he tryed it.
now it back fires every time he lets off the gas.
and it sounds terrible.

Listen to this guy, and read his article.
You will learn more in an hour or so than most will learn about this subject in a lifetime.
He also talks about bearings and how there are many myths about the bearings wearing out because of a hard break-in.

Basicly you want to seat the rings at whatever rpm you will be riding at the most. The rings are seated the first few minutes and hours.
