2006 rincon

propnut, I def do not want a worker. I want the sportiest ute that I can that still has racks, is a 4x4, and has the possibility to plow between 0-5 times a year. Still, the KQ and Rincon are at the top of my consideration list.

Sounds like you would have a blast on a Brute force. I have never rode one but they sound pretty racey. BTW to those who say they can pull, push, haul as much as any other machine on the trail, remember there is a BEST in each catagory and NO you WON'T.

I can't help but notice that the people that are very down on honda for the updates are the ones who bought the previous year model.....sour grapes? lol. These changes are good, the changes to the 450r are great, keep this thought in the back of your mind always...any change is better than bold new graphics or a new color.

Anyone remember the day when 300cc quads could push snow?
If I were looking for a sporty 4X4, I would have to look at the new Yamaha Wolverine. I had the 2000 Kodiak (removed racks and part of the front bumper). It was way sportier than the ute models that are nearly as big and powerful as a Samuri. I can only imagine the Wolverine is even better since it is lighter.
I used to run with sport quads all the time before I bought the Raptor. I especially loved riding in sticky, muddy conditions. I would run right up the backend of the sport quads on hill climbs by using 4X4 mode. I used to jump that thing and bottom the shocks out all the time. Personally, I would much rather have a smaller 4X4.
Suzuki Vinson is another option.
How much have you ridden? Any chance of riding friends for a while before you buy?

15% horsepower increase has been tossed around and some have said that a 15% increase is a lot of horsepower. One of the muffler companies claims the Rincon has 19 hp at the rear wheels. A 15% increase would only be 2.85 hp. About the increase they claim you get from one of their pipes. It is going to take a lot more than that to see a real increase in power. I think I will stay with my '04 Rinny a little longer for the difference in money I am sure they would want. If I need a real adrenalin rush, I can ride my Raptor.
