I have Nationwide and if the atv is not used for utility purposes around the yard, it's not covered.

 

Not trying to start anything but anything other than the truth is fraud, and we all know who pays for that.

 

I would put up some flyers or an add in the paper . offer a reward of say $500 bucks. in the end it will be way worth it and who knows the stupid people that stole em might even be the ones trying to collect and be caught that way.

I pulled 2 downed trees into the woods last weekend.

not telling anyone to lie. just not to overlook all the facts.

I tow a small trailer around for landscaping, and use it to pull a spike aerator as well. Because I do not use it exclusively for utility around the yard is not a disqualifier. If I claim it was stolen from my house and it was stolen from the camp in NY, then that would be fraud, but that is why I have it covered on its own.

 

I got good news. I have them back!

Turns out that they were recovered a few hours after they were taken b/c the local cops stopped two guys for riding in the street. the cops gave the guys tickets and had them towed and they have been sitting in the lot for about a week. until that guy saw the newspaper ad today asking for info., then he called us to go get them. it cost us $250 to get them....

so i know who did it and we are going to press charges.......i will post some pictures tomorrow to show you what they did....

Even though it isn't a funny situation, it is funny how they were caught.

Glad you got them back. I take all kinds of precautions because of the enourmos amount of dirtbags out there. Some of my friends can't understand why I lock the tounge on my trailer and the spare tire is locked too. Well stories like this opens up your eyes. I hope you get a chance someday to beat the crap out of them with an aluminum Easton bat. (I won't tell I hate thieves![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img])

they had taken the ignitions off both and had a pair of vice grips holding the wires up and one had the waistband of a pair of boxers, yes the elastic part was tied holding some wires up to the handle bars...

my stae registration stickers were gone, but instead of them peeling them off they scratched them off with a knife and ruined all my plastic...i am going bring them in the morning to get everything repaired so when i go to court they will make them pay for everything.....they will have to pay approx. $6000.00 for everything.....include tickets and bond and stuff....
