Default Best way to install grips.

I just wondered, what is everyone's favorite way or secret to installing new grips. I'm putting a new set of Pro Grip 796's on my ATV and didn't buy any of the "grip glues" that are available. The directions suggested soapy water or alcohol as a way to install them (followed by saftey wire). I was thinking about using silicone. I remember someone telling me years ago to use spray paint as a lubricant/glue but I never tried it. What do you guys do?

I did a search. I guess I should have done that to start with. Hairspray seems to be popular. This is the first I've ever heard of it.

Hairspray, alchohol, etc etc. Anything that dries fast so that you don't have to wait for a long time for it to dry so that your grips don't slide around.

the method i use to install grips it to drill a little hole in the end of the grip big enough to get an air nozzle for a an air compressor. turn the pressure all the way up and blow air into the grip while pushing it on. been working great for me.

Does it matter if the hairspray is aerosol or pump?
