"I realize it's your money and you can do what you want with it, but no way are you ready to ride a 650cc big bore, let alone an 800. Riding a 250EX for a month does not make you ready to handle one of those machines."

Hey Atvtech1,
I ride my fiance's BF650 just fine when he lets me on it, thanks.....I appreciate your concern but until you come and ride w/ me do not tell me I am not ready to ride a 650cc big bore. What do you ride by the way? I do not see any mention of you even owning an ATV or any pics? Maybe you can't handle a 650cc big bore? Does'nt mean I can't!

I know it seems like I'm picking on you, believe me, I'm not.

What in the world does skiing down a hill have to do with riding an ATV?

What does riding a jet ski on a flat lake have to do with riding an ATV?

Those things don't matter.

What does matter is that you have an incredibly small amount of experience riding ATV's, and you're talking about buying the most powerful ATV known to man. This is a machine that even experienced riders say is a handful. You're not ready for this yet. Baby steps...

Stocks,
I hear ya. I am not saying that I think any of these 650cc+ machines are not enough power for me. I am doing the same research as you and in my research I so far like what the Bomb has to offer the best except the price, and the KQ second. Do not think I will be getting a Rincon but I guess we will see once I have it and got a pic of it on my pics page. Speaking of pics........

Atvtech1,
You did not answer my question. Do you even own a quad? If so what do you ride?

Ohhh and Stocks thanks for the flattery but any woman who weighs 100Lbs (unless she is REALLY short) is darn Skinny/borderline anorexic I would say! I would never ever want to weigh that little nor do I. I have not weighed that much since 9th grade, maybe 8th?

Rincon not Recon huh? Well anyway now I see why you are standing up for the Rincons. How come you do not have any pics posted?

well really that was my only point. I wish the best and no matter what quad you get be careful as always! MY wife and I were watching some ER type show today that showed a guy that was in critical condition from an atv accident and he was not wearing a helmet....broke his scull and they cut his head open in the ER as a last resort.

I know that was "off" the subject! I know you could probably handle anything but one thing atvtech is right on and I know you will agree is that the 800 is a lot of power and on trails, most of the time all of that power is not needed.

I have ALWAYS said that I think you should get what you want.....I just hope it is for the right reasons and not just to have "the best" on the trails because anything over 500cc is RARELY needed for anything other than a quick drag race and everyone will agree with that.

I am jealous of you and your boyfriend and wish I was as close to a purchase as you and rode as much!! One good thing for me (for being so close to St. Louis) is that we have a 2,000 acre state run ATV park about 45 minutes from me! I am looking forward to that as one of my riding areas.

I am no longer participating in this thread as my one point has gone on wayyyyyy toooooo longggggg. I wish the best and I hope to see you pictures soon.

Megan,

I didn't think 100lbs was exactly it but you are def not......you know like 160+.....my wife is in good shape (2 kids)and she is right around 140 or so. Yeah, I dated a girl once that weighed 105 and we were in our early 20's.....that is just borderline gross.

Stocks,
I have been chit chatting w/ you for awhile and we both are on here for the same reason. To figure out what we want to ride. I do honestly appreciate your concern. I am just stubborn I am 50% Irish so when some one tells me I can not do something. I am doing it and better than them Anyway no hard feelings. You never said I could'nt do it. that guy that rides the Recon did.
