There is a lot of things that you can do . first open the drain valve at the bottom of the carb and drain out the gas in the float bowl. check and see if the float is stuck. smell the gas and make sure that it hasn't gone bad it real easy to tell.

make sure that the battery is up to full charge
Change the spark plug standard plug is a dpr8ea-9 NGK----winter plug dpr7ea-9----- or extended high speed plug dpr9ea-9 NGK

after doing that then it should start and run like a champ

good luck

John

Just take out the screws on the bottom of the carb.( NOT A NICE JOB) then the can will fall away and you will see the float. is all is ok the reinstall the can making sure that the gasket is in place and tighten the screws in place Oh yes before you do this (shut off the gas)

Sometimes with old gas in the carb the float will stick

Also make sure that the choke is not sticking check the cable at the carb.
also check to see that you have a good spark at the plug if not then change the plug cap and try again.

Let us know how you make out Please

John

You were saying that before it would run on full choke. If you try starting it, and hold the throttle at a steady 1/4 open...will it fire up? If it does, then either the idle speed is set too low, or the idle circuit(most likely the pilot jet), is blocked with crud.
