Default Rancher 400 sensor problems.

We just replaced the sensor for the transmission because one of the seals was leaking oil and horribly messed it up. the problem is we dont know how to reset the new one ( or cpu) and untill we find out the esp flashes 3-4 times and wont shift out of first gear.

Default Rancher 400 sensor problems.

If you replaced the sensor on the lower left side of the motor, this is the angle sensor. When installing and angle sensor on the Rancher 400 and Rubicon, they need to be preloaded. If this is not done, the ECU will throw a trouble code and go into limp mode. Once the sensor is installed correctly, the ECU needs to be re-initalized for all sensors to be in sync. Even if not initalized immediately, you should be able to drive the machine w/ out it throwing a code right away. The procedure to initalize is too lenghty to type it out, but actually only takes a few minutes to perform it.
