SUBMERGED
#11
Once me, my brother, and a goof-off friend went riding last march. I got separated from them, and when I found them going up a small creek, about 3-4 feet across, i sped after them. Big mistake. I knew the hole was there but i wasn't thinking(you know how it is). I hit it sideways with the 300, and before I knew it, I was off and swimming. My poor Honda, all I could see as 5 inches of the back tires and 2 inches of a front. But thats not all, as I looked ahead to yell o-****, 50 feet upstream my brother had the Recon wheelied in deep water. The front fell and the quad toppled over in 4 feet of water. Two quads drowed 5 seconds apart. We all rode to the friends house, which was 1/2 mile away and called the hired hand. He brought his 300 4x4 over and pulled us out and to the road. I hated to go back in that water, it was about 35 degrees, and the air temp. was 40. After changing the oil five times per quad, we were back at it.
By the way...
After kicking it over and draining the carb, the Honda started right up.
A riding buddy flipped his 300 over in a high creek, and it was left there for 3 days. after pulling it out, he rode it home without any problems.
