Default trx 200d gutless (HELP)

Ok, Took my 200d to the dunes and it can't make it up the hills. It drives good, but when going up a hill it revs up but the wheels don't spin very fast and they soon stop spinning. Thats in 2 and 1 gears. The inclines were not very steep, because it had problems in the trails also. when on flat ground in 2nd, when you rev it up it starts to move then feels like something grabs and then goes faster. A 250ex had no problems at all on any of the hills. Is this a clutch problem or is it just common with the trx 200 d's? I know that I used to have a 250sx and had no problems with the hills or trails, and would also go up bigger hills. Also it has a 1 tooth smaller sprocket in the front than stock, but i am going to put it back to stock. Could this have also been a problem? Could my tires be too heavy? just have old trail pros 22-11-8 tires. Also what kind of oil should I use in it? Can anyone give me any ideas and suggestions?

Sounds like the clutch may be slipping. Did you try adjusting the clutch?

I am no expert with this type of atv but your clutch could be too tight which is why it is taking longer to fully engage properly. That or the clutch is worn out and it just doesnt have as much grab any more.
