you got water in the exhaust because when it stalled out there wasn't any exhaust flow keeping the water from running in, and it filled up your muffler. As long as it runs normally now you've got nothing to worry about.

My freind "hess" just went home. His foreman is huge!! He had wheel spacer and 589's on all rims. The only bad thing is that he is so big that he could barly fit on my trails also that thing can go 60. Me and him raced in a straight drag and just like you said I could beat him out in first gear but as soon as he got unwound he flew past me. How fast did your recon go?

It's been a while, but I think it was somewhere around 45. You're not going to get a recon going any faster than that no matter what you do because of the low gearing.

Eventually i'd like to start racing, I might wait until I get a full aftermarket suspension on it. (If my job interview on wednesday goes well that shouldn't take long at all to accomplish)

What type of suspension? Does any one make a aftermarket suspensionfor the recon?

You could get a full aftermarket suspension system for it (except a-arms maybe) because any of the suspension components that fit on the 250ex also work on the recon.

I'm planning on getting elka recreational series front shocks, ASR a-arms, A durablue axle, and a rear shock from a 2001 raptor 660, should be a sweet setup. After that I'll be getting some douglas polished aluminum wheels on all 4 corners, and 20" maxxis razrs when my shredders wear out.

would aftermarket suspension give me any more ground clearance?Whats the diffrence between the shredders and the razrs? What type of racing are you going to compete in? I am going to try to enter a hare scrambel

You won't gain ground clearance, if anything it'll be a little lower. The razrs are just a better all around tire, they slide better, they have better forward traction, they don't have massive sidewall flex like my shredders, and they should last longer too. They look similar, but the rubber compound is different and the razr's tread is just a better design.

I'll probably start out with hare scrambles too, I might try MX if I feel up to it after the new suspension.
