the 4-2-4 system is a great investment. makes the bike more sporty to ride, you can spin the tires around corners and stuff, lots of fun.

as far as the front end, i'm pretty sure that bike has an open differential in the front, no limited slip, but i could be wrong. either way, a detroit locker locks the tires together, rather than make anything looser.

I meant the detroit gearless locker so It would allow some free wheel also when I was changing oil and wheeler was off the ground all four wheels turn if you turn just one . If that makes sense ...so would that mean its all the spool type locked dif.?

umm... a locker... what it does is make the front end wheels turn in syncranization.. put it that way... so both wheels are always turning together say if one wheel is in the air and on is on a rock.. normally only the one in the air will turn.. but now they will both turn

Warn 424 is a great product, highly recommend it.

The factory front diff is a limited slip unit so what you say is true that all 4 tires will spin. If you have a buddy turn the wheels, you may be able to hold one of the front wheels solid depending on the condition of the differential. The worse its worn, the easier this will be, harder to do the better.

A detroit locker is a great piece it unlocks when not under strain for decent steering, and locks when you need it. I doubt it will ever make the steering easier, but you sure will notice the difference in traction!!! I also wouldnt install a locker without a Warn 424 first or at the same time.

the warn 424 is an alright upgrade. I heard it isnt too good for the front end, but ive heard mixed reviews.

if you want one, go for it. They save on fuel and are a worthy upgrade.
