Default Clock on Rancher LCD display

Hello everybody,

My first post here.

I have a 2000 Rancher ES 4x4, there is a clock on the LCD dash display. Everytime I turn the key off and then restart the motor, the clock starts over at 1:00. Is there a way to have it stay on continuous??

BTW- this is the first Honda I've ever owned. Man I love this thing

Thanks, Kev

Welcome, I have a 2000 foreman es. I do not have that problem, it seems like the dash pod is not getting power to maintain the clock, tripmeter, etc when the key is off. Check the accessory fuse first, and if you have a manual, you could trace the wiring diagram; perhaps a previous owner rerouted some wiring for some reason.

Good luck

By the way, you do reset the time after it comes up flashing 1:00 right? If not, it might not save the new time.

Yep, I reset it but then it goes back to 1:00 each time. I'll check the fuse.

Thanks Man...

the clock should keep the right time as long as the battery is connected. Check the fuses, trace the wires if needed, you might need a new lcd display assy (ouch)

hopefully it's something simple.

New LCD assembly????? NOT A FREAKIN" CHANCE! Eveything BUT the clock is working fine, it tells me which ghear I'm in, hour meter, speedometer, etc...all works great. I just thought that there was a way to keep it going.

Thanks, Kev

if everything works, it is probably an internal electrical problem. Buy a watch, hahahahahaha
