Getting more power out of my rancher?
the first thing you should try is a clutch kit with a higher engagemetn rpm, then pipe and jet kit and air filter and see how it feels then. That would be minimal $ and you'll have a noticable increase in power.
I too have considered the HL kit, but i dont have the time to completely tear down my machine to do something to it that just makes it unreliable. Stock, the 350 is a very reliable engine, although a bit underpowered. Adding mods to the engine to make more power also puts more strain on your transmission gears, driveshafts, etc.
Tell us what you think if you do it though, maybe i'll think about it sometime.

It would be more cost effective to replace the quad with a more powerfull one.

What the heck kind of power you looking for? 1-2 with simple pipe mods or 5 to 10 with big bore kits and such. If you go that far the couple grand it with cost will easily be offset by just by upgrade to the many dozens of quads that have way more power and a chassis stable enough to use it. Cripes it a rancher . Drive it bone stock until your ready to upgrade to the next model.

You sir seem to lack what I like to call common sense or the ability to coherently post a reply to my question . A performance kit will only cost me approx. $320 which is far less troublesome than selling my rancher and buying a new quad. Seeing as I already have two other quads that are much more powerful than my mighty rancher, I was merely asking for suggestions to get a "cost effective way of getting more power from my rancher 350". Please do not say that buying a new quad is the ONLY option because as we all know it is NOT.
"It would be more cost effective to replace the quad with a more powerfull one. " Please explain this to me. I do not know how one would deduce this. Oppurtunity cost?
