Default 03 Ribicon transmission problems

Have a 2003 rubicon 500 was riding it yesturday, hit a bump and the transmission quit. I rev the engine and the transmission makes a whining noise. you rev it alot and it will act like its catching a little but not enough to move the machine. tryed changing the oil and filter but no luck. Any ideas?

Take it to the dealer and have them do a oil pressure test on the machine. If the oil pressure relief valve in the oil pump goes bad, it won't send oil to the tranny. We have replaced a few oil pumps and trannys on several '01 models but have seen zero problems on anything newer than '01. If either the pump or tranny needs replacing, your looking at total engine dissassembly. Expect a bill of $1500 - 2000 for parts/labor on tranny replacement if you are out of warranty.

how big of a bump was it!

did the sub-trans shifter move during the bump?

wonder if you may have done something to the centrifugal clutch or sub-trans and not have a problem with the hydro
