Should be the same amount. 10-11 coils.

Default carb spring

Hey ForemanDan and Rinman,
I tried the clip on my carb spring on my 1995 400 Foreman and it seemed to help Thanks
So,my nephew has a 06 500 Foreman or is it Rancher.....and wants to do the same thing..
Do I tell him to go for it? I'm asking because I'm relatively new to 4 wheelers and I don't
want to give him bad advice and am not knowledgeable enough to know if his has the cv
style carb...but I think it does. Thanks guys.I'm learning !

The most bang comes from 10-11 coils. Counting the bunched up end as one. reinstall the longer piece and go ride. If you don't like it a new spring is around $8. But you won't replace it.
