2002 raptor 660 vs honda 450r
#1
I have a 2002 raptor 660 with a slip on pipe and a moose air filter. my friend has a stock new 450r and he wants to drag race and i think i can take him. What do yall think about this matchup and tell me if the raptor has better acceleration and a higher top speed than the 450 r. Who do you think will win????????

It depends on alot of things like weight difference and rider skill. But all things being equal and your friend has '06 or '07 model then he may have the edge. They are quicker than the '05 so I'm told.

Hmmm. I've owned both. My old 660 had a slip-on, and a HotCam 1, lid off and rejetted (of course). I would get beat by yfz's with slip-ons and cam mods, as well as trx's with pipe/cam mods racing Olds Hill in Glamis.
So, to answer your question, the 660 with those mods would give a stock 04/05 trx a good run. Probably beating the trx by a couple lengths. The 06/07 trx is faster and would make it a good race if it was stock.
Mod the 450's with cam/pipe and the 660's will lose unless they have some motor work done. After that - the answer will be depending on who spent the most on motor work.
Now, the situation on a track is a different story and the 450's will take wins there all day long...
