Sorry, I didn't really mean to spout off that way. It's just that I get tired of hearing slammers pissing and moaning about what a worthless ATV Honda is. I agree they could use more power, but then again, they are the toughest on the planet for lasting. I hope you get it figured out why yours is lacking power. If you find the answere, maybe it will be something that can benefit all HondaMatic owners.

RedRubi, I'm not slamming Honda in general. Actually Honda is the only ATV I've ever owned. From the old185,200 250ig Red, had all three of those. When I bought my 1rst quad it was the 400 Rancher. That was a dissapointing switch because I was used to my power in the Big Red, it never bogged down. Within 500km I upgraded to the 500 Canadian Trail Edition. Other than the lack of power I have no major complaints.

I have a 06 trail edition canadian with 27 inch mud bugs totally stock and 1400 km on it. I ride with rincons, brute forces, and grizzlies all the time. I do get stuck a little more than they do but never do I have the power issues that these guys are having. When it comes time to pull the moose out of the bush these guys and their IRS send me in there to do all the work, that's what I bought it for. By the way, I smoke the outlander 400's in any mud hole, any day. Keep up the good work HONDA

I have to repost because I was wrong on what I hade said before about clutch kits. When you install one it only bumps up your egagement rpms on a Honda.
