Hey all. New to ATVs and picked up some slightly used 06 Hondas one of which being a TRX90. Son has been tooling around for a month on it getting it a bit muddy and now it seems to have a problem. After its warmed up, if you hit the throttle it will die. It seems to be ok if you are real light on the throttle or at high rpm.
Any ideas of what it could be before I bring it down someplace?

Well first of all how clean is the airfilter and to me it sounds like dirty jets in the carb so give that a check and he hasn't gotten any water in the engine at all or gas has he just give those 2 a check and see if that helps.

 

I would clean the air filter and then run it. If it still acts up, pop a new plug in it and see if that helps. If your son rides pretty slow all the time, go up a heat range to an NGK CR6HS. Still acting funny? Drain all the gas and start over with fresh. Let us know what ends up being the problem.
