Rancher 350 4X4 Diff Fluid ?
#1
New to the forum. I have a 2002 Rancher 350 and no owner manual. I am changing the fuilds and would like to know how much Differential fluid to put in the front and rear. I drained the rear and only a couple ounces came out. I poured an 8 ounce bottle in but it did not fill it all the way up as I cannot see any of the fuild. How much should go in it?

In the back, there is a small weep hole on the side. Take that bolt out, and fill from the large plug hole until fluid just flows out the weep hole. Ride it a little, then check it again.
In the front, you fill it until it comes even with the bottom of the large plug that is on the side. Again, ride it a little, then check it again.

If you are talking about the one on the lower back side, that says fuild check next to it. That is the one I took out to drain it as I saw no other hole to drain it from on the bottom. Is there a different way to drain this? I may have the whole procedure wrong and way to much fluid

the drain plug is on the bottom, down under the skid plate thing. i think ther's a hole to remove the plug, but it's easier to take the skid plate off first and then do it, doenst make as much of a mess.
the hole on the left side about halfway up is the fluid level check hole. with the drain plug back in, remove the check hole plug and the big fill plug on top, add fluid until it comes out the check hole. reinstall both plugs and test ride, check again after fluid settles for a bit after riding.
on th front diff the fill plug is the same place you check it, the fluid level should come up to the lower edge of the hole when the machine is on level ground.
