What's wrong with Honda?

Some people have no use or need for IRS. I hate IRS personally. I like solid rear axles and that was one of the deciding factors on which quad I bought. My point is not every person wants what you do or what I do. Why do you think Honda put the power steering on the 500, Because they sell more 500's than the big bores. It all comes down to pampering you biggest market which is the middle class.</end quote></div>
It's not about what I want. Every other major manufacturer offers a machine that has both IRS and some sort of Diff Lock. Honda doesn't.

Don't make the mistake of reading to much into those horsepower numbers. They are at the crank, and that doesn't take into account things like the weight of the machine, or the rolling resistance of the drive train, the efficiency of the transmission, that slipping belt, etc., etc.....
Which is going to have more HP at the wheels??? A 350 pound chain driven 450cc sport quad that makes 50 hp, or an 800 pound shaft driven 800cc 4X4 that makes 50 hp!

doesnt get any better then that!
.054 hp per cc for the honda 650
.057 hp per cc for the honda 700
.061 hp per cc for the grizzly (per stated hp not confirmed)
if anyone has the confirmed hp for the grizzly that would be great. . .
needless to say tho that there is only a few hp difference between the two quads. . .

I would say yea the new tech might be great in all of the quads, but it isn't needed to have a fun time and just get out and ride which is what most are looking for...Think about it all of the other manufacturers have urs and other stuff and don't handle as well as the Honda's except for maybe can am...I personally am looking for a quad to have fun on and just ride and not something that costs as much as a car...Honda might not have the fastest quads, but I would take handling over power any day of the week...JMO
