Is it possible to place a 250r motor in a 250x frame without major complications?

Anything is possible. But I think the pipe and radiator would require some creative thinking.

Why work your way back? there will have to be some motor mount rearranging and probibly a custom pipe and might have to use a atc radiator, I wouldnt do it $$$$$do like I did and put a 250X motor a a R frame= major tourque and traction. How are you getting ahold of this R motor? why waste it there arent that many left

Bud Fischer from Fischer Cycles built a 250R in an X frame a few years ago for the TT's. This would be the only thing worth building it for. The late Darren Naccaratoo (sorry about spelling) ran a LT500 in an X chassis at the TT's quite a few years back as well.

The 350X motor works as well as teh 250X motor in the R frame but you have to motify the top right frame rail for the oil line to clear but its no biggy

Same thing but you will still have to make a custom pipe and mount the oil cooler
